At 56, Bhagyashree Showcases 3 Chair Workouts She Follows To Burn Belly Fat

Bhagyashree, who rose to fame with her role as Suman in Salman Khan’s commercially successful film Maine Pyar Kiya, maintains a distance from the world of glitz and glamour. However, the diva continues to stay connected with her fans through her social media handles. She comes up with unique recipes and fitness hacks weekly as part of her ‘Tuesday Tips with B’ series on Instagram. Recently, she opened up about a simple 3-step chair workout, which she swears by to burn out her tummy fat.

On Instagram, Bhagyashree posted a video featuring very simple yet effective chair exercises that are incredibly beneficial. The clip begins with her being comfortably seated on a chair while the voiceover behind her mentions, “Hi, Good morning. Nana, uthne ki jaroorat nahi. Kursi par baithkar bhi exercise ho sakti hai. Toh aaj karenge chair exercises for your tummy (No no, there is no need to get up. Some exercises can be done while sitting on a chair. So today we will do chair exercises for your body).”

The 56-year-old then demonstrates 3 effective chair workouts and concludes, “Toh pet kam karne ke liye kursi se uthne ki jaroorat hi nahi (So there is no need to get up from the chair to reduce belly fat).” Proving a perfect dose of motivation, she writes in the caption of the video, “Aaram karna achha hein (It is not bad to rest)! Chair exercises work for everyone, the elderly, the lazy, and the workaholic! A quick, simple circuit to activate those sleepy muscles.”

Seated Claps

At first, Bhagyashree was seen seated on a sturdy chair with her back straight and feet flat on the floor. She, then, extends her arms straight in the front and claps, followed by opening her arms wide, taking them straight upwards, making a ninety-degree angle and repeating the clap. The same set is then done alongside the opposite legs while maintaining a straight posture.

Benefits of seated claps – This exercise improves shoulder mobility, posture, overall coordination and accessibility of the body.

Knee-Elbow Twists

In this exercise, Bhagyashree can be seen folding her hands behind her head. Then, she gradually twists her upper body to bring the elbow towards the opposite knee, subtly putting pressure on the belly.

Benefits of Knee-elbow twists – Knee-elbow twists improve core strength, help in boosting flexibility, and enhance balance.

Seated Leg Raise

Finally, the veteran star can be seen firmly seated on the chair while holding the handles with the best form of grip. Then, she gradually lifts her legs one by one while keeping them straight and maintains normal breathing.

Benefits of Seated leg raise – This exercise enhances blood circulation and increases lower body strength and hip flexibility.
