Recently, Mivi, a consumer technology company based in Hyderabad, gave Gadgets 360 additional details about its upcoming Mivi AI voice assistant. The business provided information about the freemium model, training techniques, text interface, and AI model’s operation. Interestingly, the AI system is mostly voice-based, allowing users to ask questions, receive a curated list of news articles, and converse with different avatars. Mivi AI is presently in development and should be available shortly.
Mivi AI Will Be Available to Users for Free
Mivi AI seems to be an AI-powered voice assistant that customers may converse with as long as they have compatible earbuds plugged in, according to the company’s demo.
However, the business clarified that in order for users to use the AI helper, two prerequisites must be met. The first is the AIBuds, which are Mivi’s future earphones and the only gadget that supports AI at the moment. The company’s smartphone companion app, Mivi Audio, comes in second. Only after connecting the AIBuds to the accompanying app will the assistant function.
The company also said that Mivi AI will be an entirely “text and screen-free” experience. This means the company is opting for a voice-based experience. However, this does not mean there is no text interface. Mivi said that the companion app will show a text interface, however, it is only aimed at storing conversations, and not to have conversations with the AI.
Another interesting piece of information shared by the company is that Mivi AI will be a free service, which means as long as users own a pair of compatible earbuds, they do not need to pay for anything else. However, the Hyderabad-based consumer tech brand is also planning a freemium model with the AI service. This means there will be an optional paid subscription, similar to Gemini and OpenAI, which will offer more premium features.
Lastly, the business provided specifics regarding the AI model and how it was trained. Notably, Mivi AI is an internal AI model that the business created from the ground up. Thousands of unique datasets, including several audio samples in a range of accents, tones, and situations, including loud background noise, were used to train it. According to Mivi, this makes it simple for the AI model to identify sounds from users, even when they are in a noisy or outdoor setting.
