C-DOT Unveils 14 Quantum Tech Products to Prepare India for Future Cyber Threats

C-DOT Unveils 14 Quantum Tech Products in New Delhi, marking another important development in India’s efforts to strengthen the security of its digital and communication infrastructure. The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) introduced 14 indigenous quantum technology products with a focus on protecting communications against the emerging risks associated with powerful quantum computers.

The launch placed particular emphasis on Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), two technologies that could play an important role in securing sensitive communications in the future.

C-DOT Launches 14 Indigenous Quantum Products

The Centre for Development of Telematics, commonly known as C-DOT, unveiled a portfolio of 14 quantum technology products in the national capital.

The products are aimed at addressing emerging cybersecurity challenges as quantum computing continues to develop. While today’s conventional encryption systems remain widely used, sufficiently powerful quantum computers could eventually threaten some of the cryptographic techniques that protect digital information.

By developing indigenous solutions, India is looking to strengthen its ability to respond to these risks while reducing dependence on overseas technologies.

Focus on Post-Quantum Cryptography

One of the major areas highlighted during the launch was Post-Quantum Cryptography.
